7D AMAZING HILL TRIBE VILLAGES

Day 1: Hanoi – Arrival (D)
Arrival in Hanoi, welcome by our tour guide and transfer to down town for check-in hotel. Having dinner at restaurant. Evening: enjoy the famous water puppet show before having dinner at restaurant. O/N in Hanoi.
 
 
Day 2: Hanoi – Mai Chau Lodge (135km ~) (BLD)
After breakfast at hotel, we leave Hanoi for Mai Chau. Having lunch on the way. Arrival and check-in Mai Chau Lodge. After rest, starting tour and visit Soldier Cave. You will start with the main chamber which can hold 400-500 people. Here the legends related to the cave will be told and a part of the country history is explained. The second part of the visit requires some skills and fitness as you go through a tunnel with some soft adventure experience. The next attractive is walks to Thai villages of Pom Coong and Lac. Enjoy dinner with traditional dance performance by the local Thai tribe.
 
 
Day 3: Mai Chau – Hanoi – Laocai – On Train (BLD)
Breakfast and check-out. Join-in some activities: valley biking. Experience the rural life in Mai Chau valley from the saddle of your bike. Tour starts at the Mai Chau Lodge. Be inspired by the quaint and small villages where you can experience Mai Chau close-up. This tour takes 2h. Having lunch. Then return to Hanoi. Afternoon, arrival to Hanoi. Having dinner at restaurant. Take a rest and refreshment before catching the night train to Laocai (we reserve 1 or 2 room for group for refrement, changing clothes).
 
Day 4: Laocai – Sapa – Hill tribes village – Ham Rong (BLD)
Early morning arrival to Laocai around 6.00am. Laocai is bordering of China in the far Northwest, is the place to see some of Vietnam’s colourful hill tribes, in particular H’mong and Dao. Our Driver pick group up at the Laocai Sation then transfer to Sapa. Check-in the hotel (if room available) and having breakfast at hotel. At leisure time until afternoon visit some of nearby hill tribe villages: Ta Fin and Cat Cat by Jeep. At the end of the week we can see the H’mong, Dao and other ethnic minorities trek into town from the surrounding countryside to trade goods at the weekend markets in Sapa. There, they sell silver jeweler, traditional embroidered fabrics and authentic articles of hill tribe clothing at the markets. O/N in Sapa.
 
 
Day 5: Sapa – Coc Ly market (on Tuesday only) - Laocai – Hanoi – On Train (BLD)
After breakfast at hotel, Then excursion to Coc Ly ethnic markets (if on Tuesday or Lung Khau Nhin ethnic market – on Thursday; or Bac Ha ethnic market – on Sunday). Every Tuesday morning, minorities from surrounding villages such as Flower Hmong, Black Zao and Tay, gather to sell and buy their products. After visiting the market, you travel by boat downstream. Along the ride, you can enjoy magnificent sight of the beautiful caves and life on the riverbank.
The trip will also offers you a visit to Trung Do village of Tay minority, where you can stop by a traditional Tay house for a cup of tea. After then get on the bus for the journey back to Lao Cai Rai Way Station. Having dinner at local restaurant before catching the Night Train back to Hanoi. Overnight on train.

 
 
Day 6: Hanoi – Citytour (BLD)
Pick up at Hanoi Railway station then transfer to hotel in down town for breakfast. Then starting for citytour Hanoi, visit: President Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda that looks like a lotus flower; the mythical Sword lake, The Huc Bridge. The next attraction is Ngoc Son Temple, Temple of Literature, West Lake & Tran Quoc Pagoda. Riding on cyclo ~ trishaws (1hr) through the famous Old Quarters. O/N in Hanoi
 
Day 7: Hanoi – Departure (B)
At leisure until transfer to the airport for departure flight to home. End of services.
